HEART and EARTH share the same letters.
This beautiful anagram reflects the Heart and Earth experience - connecting both through nature immersion.
I believe that true well-being comes from living in harmony with ourselves and the natural world. Rooted in the Japanese practice of Shinrin Yoku (literally translated as Forest Bathing), these guided sessions invite you to step into the forest, slow down and reconnect - with nature, with your breath and with your deeper self.
This is more than just a walk in the woods. It's a gentle, restorative experience designed to nourish your body, calm your mind and open your heart - while also deepening your connection to the living world around you.
No experience or physical fitness is required - just curiosity, an open mind and a willingness to slow down.
Whether you're seeking clarity, calm, or simply some time to reconnect, your first step into nature might just be the beginning of something transformative.
"In all things of nature there is something of the marvellous." Aristotle
We are nature, not separate from it.
Heart and Earth was founded to help people reconnect with nature - not just for personal well-being, but as part of a deeper responsibility to care for our incredible planet.
With a professional background in corporate sustainability and a lifelong passion for the natural world, I understand that true well-being comes from aligning the health of people and planet. My guided nature immersion sessions are designed to restore calm, spark reflection, and inspire a stronger bond with the living world.
This journey is deeply personal. I’ve been a gardener for over 20 years and in 2020 set a goal to plant 100 trees to mark the new decade. I began by volunteering with Trees for Cities, planting 45 trees in East London before the pandemic paused everything. To honour my commitment, I planted 20 trees in my own garden and supported reforestation efforts at the Heart of England Forest.
That same year, I joined a newly formed residents' eco group. A couple of years later, we became a Community Interest Company, secured funding, and created a thriving community garden supported by 20 volunteers and over 600 local newsletter subscribers. I also organised a public art competition celebrating nature; six panels featuring 30+ community artworks are now permanently displayed along the walkway to my local town centre.
Alongside volunteering and my professional career, I found inspiration in books like Finding the Mother Tree by Suzanne Simard, which revealed how trees support and communicate with one another, and Entangled Life by Merlin Sheldrake, which deepened my fascination with the hidden world of fungi and mycelium.
These experiences have only strengthened my belief that we are nature, not separate from it - and that when we slow down, listen, and immerse ourselves in the natural world, something begins to change within us.
I also integrate Tom Mansfield’s Cards for Life, which invite reflection on our influences, choices, and impact. Whether attending as an individual or a team, you'll be gently guided to reconnect with yourself and the planet - with greater clarity, care, and presence.
And when I’m not guiding others, you’ll likely find me recharging somewhere in nature - walking slowly, listening deeply, and letting nature do what it does best: restore.
